Q2 2024 UK Fast Food App Performance Snapshot

As the second quarter of 2024 unfolds, we at Sensor Tower have taken a closer look at the UK's top fast food and fast casual restaurant apps. Here’s a brief on how these apps have performed on a unified iOS and Android platform.

Subway - UK & I experienced a significant surge in downloads mid-quarter, jumping from around 16K to an impressive 253K in the week of May 13th, and peaking at nearly 345K the following week. While weekly active users also saw an uptick during this period, rising from 102K to over 244K.

McDonald’s U.K. showed a consistent performance with downloads starting at around 136K and settling near 86K towards the end of the quarter. Weekly active users remained robust, hovering around 1.3M throughout the quarter.

Domino's Pizza Delivery downloads fluctuated, with a peak at around 60K in early May, and a gradual decline to 41K by the quarter's end. The app's active users saw a slight dip, starting at around 365K and decreasing to approximately 361K.

Greggs maintained a steady increase in downloads from 41K to 48K during the first half of the quarter, with a slight decline towards June. Weekly active users saw a peak of nearly 297K in late April, followed by a gentle decrease to around 282K.

Starbucks UK experienced a notable spike in downloads mid-April, reaching over 71K, then stabilizing to about 29K by the end of June. The active user base had its peak at over 223K in the same spike period, ending the quarter with nearly 179K.
